Robert was born in 1990 in Terneuzen (The
Netherlands). He holds a bachelor’s degree in history (cum laude), and a
master’s degree in International Relations (cum laude) from Leiden University. Before
taking his position as Head of International Affairs he worked on candidate
selection and talent management for the VVD. As Head of International
Affairs Robert is responsible for general strategy of VVD International, maintaining
transnational inter-party relations, and maintaining relations with ALDE and Liberal
International. He shares his live with his wife and their son. When not at work
he enjoys golf, gardening and good food.
