Balkan Campaign School 2023
The very first edition of the Balkan Campaign School
is organised by the Haya van Someren Foundation/VVD International in
cooperation with LIBSEEN. During two physical sessions, young and emerging
professionals from Bosnia Hercegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro,
Kosovo and Moldova will participate in education and training programmes given
by internationally recognised trainers and experts. The trainings will focus on
different aspects such as personal storytelling, story building, campaigning
and basic political skills. Personal development is also a key aspect within
the programme. As such, participants receive training in intercultural
cooperation and career guidance. Finally, the programme combines all lessons
learnt and puts it into practice through a crisis or coalition simulation.
Timeline
The Balkan Campaign School is divided into two
different events spread over May and June.
- 19-21 May Belgrade
- 23-25 June (location TBC)
Participation in all events is required to
successfully complete the curriculum. Please note that sessions may take place
at a different location or online due to the future impact of COVID-19.
Participants will be informed in a timely manner.
Conditions for registration
The participant is:
1. Between 20 and 40 years old
2. Active (or starting) in liberal organisations or
foundations, e.g. as a volunteer
3. From Bosnia Hercegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia,
Montenegro, Kosovo or Moldova
4. Shares and supports liberal ideas
5. Able to motivate his/her application

Costs
Costs for accommodation and meals during the training
will be covered by the organisers. Upon submission of the travel expense form
and original supporting documents, travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a
certain amount per participant. More logistical details will be shared with
successful candidates.
